Deduction first
Each move comes from a visible rule. You can rule out tiles, narrow down a color, and reveal a cat when the answer is forced.
Kitty Grid is a quiet puzzle game built around rows, columns, colored areas, and simple deduction. Mark the spots that cannot hold a cat, then reveal the places that must be right.
Every puzzle has one hidden cat in each row, one in each column, and one in each colored area. Cats never touch, even diagonally.
Each move comes from a visible rule. You can rule out tiles, narrow down a color, and reveal a cat when the answer is forced.
A clean X mark helps you keep track of rejected tiles. Larger puzzles stay readable because the board keeps the visual language simple.
Levels are made for quick play. The early puzzles teach the core rules, and later boards ask for more careful elimination.
Kitty Grid is designed to be easy to start and satisfying to solve. These are the rules you use throughout the game.
Every colored area hides exactly one cat. Once a cat is found in that color, the other tiles in the same area can be marked.
Each row and each column also holds exactly one cat. A revealed cat clears its row and column from the search.
Cats cannot sit next to each other. After finding one, nearby tiles can often be ruled out right away.
